This individual will play a key role in ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of enterprise databases, supporting high availability systems, and contributing to ongoing data strategy and operations.
Who Are We Looking For:
As a DBA, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and security of the organization’s databases. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in database architecture, strong experience in backup and recovery processes, and proven capabilities in SQL and data security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain high availability and performance of database systems.
- Install, configure, and upgrade database servers and related applications.
- Design and implement databases tailored to end-user and business needs.
- Ensure data security, privacy, and integrity with proper protocols.
- Monitor performance and proactively implement efficiency improvements.
- Conduct regular tests, evaluations, and backups to ensure data reliability.
- Manage storage allocations, user permissions, and backup schedules.
- Troubleshoot issues related to operations, connectivity, and performance.
- Use advanced recovery techniques for high-speed data restoration.
- Provide both proactive and reactive data management support.
- Maintain documentation on configurations, processes, and best practices.
What You Bring:
- 15 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in high-paced environments.
- Proficiency in database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL), integration tools, and data modeling.
- Deep knowledge of backup/recovery strategies, data security, and SQL.
- Understanding of database theories, principles, and architectural best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
