C&I VP Commercial Relationship Manager –Elmwood Park, NJ
FinTrust Connect has partnered with a growing community bank in New Jersey seeking to hire a C&I Commercial Relationship Manager for the bank's C&I Lending Team. This candidate is responsible for generating C&I business by focusing on developing new business relationships and a strong referral network to help them achieve mutually beneficial business goals and strengthen the communities.

Workplace (Remote, On-site, Hybrid): Hybrid in Elmwood Park, NJ.
Function: Manage a portfolio by building on existing relationships, pursuing new clients, ensuring the highest level of service. Also manage the day-to-day credit process, including credit write-ups, customer inquiries, and deal structures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience strongly preferred.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a Commercial Relationship Manager. Formal credit training preferred.
- Five (5) years of experience in banking, preferably in the commercial segment.
- Analyze the credit strengths and weaknesses of prospective borrowers and make loan decision recommendations.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the bank's lending policies and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
Description:
- Manage an existing portfolio, seeking opportunities to generate incremental revenue for the bank and meet customer financial goals.
- Develop new client relationships which generate incremental revenue for the bank.
- Recognize complex client needs and match the bank's capabilities to meet these needs.
- Work with an experienced internal team including portfolio managers and loan center underwriters.
- Use business acumen to structure financial loans (term, covenants, collateral, guarantees, etc.), access strengths and weaknesses of prospective borrowers and price according to risk-rated returns.
- Responsible for completing on a timely basis all requests from BSA, answering KYC, ECS and RFI’s on a timely basis.
