Fiocchi of America, Inc., an ammunition manufacturer, located in Ozark, MO is seeking a skilled Ballistician. This position is responsible for the testing and inspection for centerfire cartridges.

Basic Job Functions:
- Use of instrumentation, equipment, and software which requires specialized training
- Safe firearm handling tactics and skills
- Set-up, maintain, and operate pressure barrels, transducers, light screens, and accurate equipment.
- Perform analysis of test results to set specifications and suggest changes to design or production line setup
- Assist in / perform proper setups of production lines
- Cleaning of test barrels, firearms and range
- Measurement and monitoring production processes to assure they are complying as defined in established manufacturing work instructions.
- Perform inspection/tests as required on in-process and finished products
- Accurately process and record data in the appropriate logs and data sheets
- Participates in training sessions for operation, safety and maintaining QC inspection and test equipment
- Maintain good housekeeping practices
- Follow established safety and security protocols
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge and ability to operate, disassemble and reassemble various types of firearms in a safe manner
- Ability to understand and explain/articulate test results with industry language to management
- Must have adequate computer skills, MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Must have basic math skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills and attention to details
- Must be able to properly use various precision measurement tools including / but not limited to calipers, micrometers, scales, and gages
- Have a general knowledge of both English and metric units.
- Must possess skills to perform quality inspection, testing and data entry
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Must work well with others and be a team player
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, push and pull for a 10/12 hour shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to effectively use a computer keyboard and measuring equipment
- Visual acuity to interact with computer terminal and identify various imperfections of centerfire components
Schedule:
- 1st shift - Monday - Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 4:25 p.m. - $21.00/hr.
