Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling during transit.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and logs of items delivered.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries or concerns during deliveries.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role such as Courier or Van Driver.
- Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills within the local area.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including inventory handling and forklift operation is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
