Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Lead with expertise in designing and developing solutions on the Snowflake platform . This role requires strong technical skills in Snowflake architecture, data engineering, and migration from legacy databases like SQL Server. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools , to support and enhance existing Qlik Sense BI dashboards.

The Data Engineering Lead will play a key role in designing efficient data solutions, driving migration projects, and collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure effective data visualization support.

Key Responsibilities

Snowflake Platform Expertise

Design and develop scalable data solutions using the Snowflake platform.
Implement Snowflake best practices for data warehousing, modeling, and performance optimization.
Oversee security, user roles, and permissions on the Snowflake platform.

Data Migration

Lead migration projects from legacy databases such as SQL Server to Snowflake.

Develop and execute migration plans, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and minimal downtime.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during migration processes.

Business Intelligence (BI) Support

Provide support for existing BI dashboards built using tools like Qlik Sense.

Collaborate with BI teams to design and maintain data pipelines for visualizations.

Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing BI dashboards for better performance.

Collaboration and Leadership

Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and design data solutions aligned with business needs.

Lead a team of engineers and provide guidance on best practices for Snowflake and BI tools.

Document processes, solutions, and migration strategies for internal knowledge sharing.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to automate data workflows and improve system efficiency.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in data engineering, Snowflake, and BI tools.

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise :

Proven experience in Snowflake platform design and development.

Hands-on experience with database migrations to Snowflake.

Strong understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts.

Familiarity with ETL / ELT processes and tools like Talend.

BI Tool Knowledge :

Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense, including dashboard support and optimization.

Ability to design and maintain data pipelines for BI tools.

Leadership and Problem-Solving Skills :

Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage project timelines.

Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve technical challenges.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in Snowflake cloud data platform.

Experience with AWS, or Google Cloud services for data solutions.

Knowledge of Python, R, or other scripting languages for data processing.
