We are seeking an experienced Onsite Data Engineering and BI Operations Lead to serve as the primary point of contact between the client and the offshore operations team. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to coordinate complex operations across time zones. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in Qlik Sense, Snowflake, and data analysis, as well as the ability to handle ad hoc requests, generate reports, and ensure seamless collaboration between onsite and offshore teams.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary onsite contact for client stakeholders, addressing concerns, managing expectations, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Communicate project updates, deliverables, and timelines effectively to all stakeholders.
- Escalate critical issues to appropriate teams and provide timely resolutions.
Coordination with Offshore Team
- Conduct daily handoff meetings with the offshore team to align on priorities and tasks.
- Ensure all necessary technical and administrative tasks are prepped by the offshore team before their day ends (12 PM EST).
- Maintain seamless communication between onsite and offshore teams, ensuring consistent progress on deliverables.
Technical Expertise
- Perform administrative tasks for Qlik Sense and Snowflake, such as managing user access, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues.
- Handle ad hoc data requests and provide insights through data analysis.
- Oversee report generation and ensure timely delivery to stakeholders.
Issue Resolution
- Respond to urgent issues and requests that arise post-12 PM EST, leveraging knowledge of Qlik Sense and Snowflake to resolve technical challenges.
- Collaborate with the offshore team for next-day follow-ups on unresolved issues.
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline repetitive tasks such as report generation.
- Propose enhancements to current processes to improve operational efficiency.
Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Qlik Sense administration, including dashboard management, user permissions, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Snowflake for data administration, SQL queries, and database performance monitoring.
- Experience in data analysis, reporting, and creating actionable insights.
Leadership and Communication:
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate cross-functional teams, especially in an onsite-offshore model.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Problem-Solving:
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks independently, especially under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills for resolving technical and operational challenges.
- Experience in working with IT consulting firms or in similar onsite-offshore delivery models.
- Familiarity with automation tools and techniques for reporting and task scheduling.
- Certification in Qlik Sense or Snowflake is a plus.
