V.I.E Program: Supported by BUSINESS FRANCE, a governmental organization enhancing internationalization of French companies all around the globe to foster business development, financing, and exportation, the Volontariat International en Entreprise (V.I.E) is a unique opportunity for young professionals to improve and diversify their skills in a specialized field, discover new cultures and represent the French ecosystem.

V.I.E Eligibility: Be younger than 28 years old

Job Duration and Location: FMP offers an 18-month V.I.E program in Boston (USA) to support the development of its business unit in North America.

Tasks

As a Business Developer for North America, you will play a crucial role in expanding FMP's impact within the biopharmaceutical sector. This position is tailored for individuals passionate about marrying scientific innovation with commercial success, focusing on cultivating new and existing relationships in the Boston/Cambridge area and beyond.

Your Mission:

  • Reach the target revenues through new contracts and customer expansion.
  • Enhance sales team effectiveness with strategic hires and a clear performance policy.
  • Introduce a system for 90% accurate monthly sales forecasts.
  • Roll out a sales training program to boost customer service, aiming for 90% customer satisfaction.


Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a regional business plan targeting biomarker testing and Assay Development.
  • Engage with key accounts across the pharma, biotech, and academic sectors, leveraging your analytical skills and strategic vision.
  • Drive customer base growth through prospecting, presentations, roadshows, scientific conferences, and other initiatives.
  • Provide consultative support to clients, aligning FMP’s offerings with their research objectives.


Requirements

  • You hold a minimum Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, molecular biology, pharmacology, biochemistry, or related fields.
  • You bring commercial experience, preferably in research and development services, diagnostics, ‘omics, or molecular biology.
  • You have familiarity with the drug development and analytical markets, as well as the 'omics landscape.
  • You are prepared for partial remote work within the Boston area and frequent travel, including international visits to FMP french headquarters.
