Job Description
The Patient Care Technician plays a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in our clinic. This position is essential for supporting our audiologist and hearing instrument specialists. They will be responsible for scheduling patients, setting up patient charts and triaging walk-in issues. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical/dental clinic setting, but we will train an outstanding candidate.
Duties
- Schedule patient appointments.
- Prepare patient charts for providers.
- Take payments at reception desk and over the phone.
- Scan and transmit documents in patient's chart.
- File charts.
- Clean and check hearing aids.
- Pair hearing aids to patient's phone.
- Interact with hearing aid manufacturers .
- Maintain an organized and orderly front desk area
- Maintain waiting area
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Patient Care Technician or in a similar role preferred.
- Familiarity with basic clinical procedures preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations .
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact compassionately with patients and their families.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to patient care practices.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by healthcare regulations.
