Fire Fighter Sales & Service is a local family owned & operated business in Grand Rapids. We have been servicing our community for over 75 years in the Fire Protection field! Our fire protection technicians provide inspection and maintenance on fire protection systems such as Fire Alarms, Kitchen Suppression, Clean Agent, and more. Providing honest and knowledgeable customer service is an integral part of our daily work. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection, testing, and maintenance on fire protection equipment such as Fire Alarm, Suppression Systems, Sprinkler Systems, and more.
- Generate accurate and thorough reports of inspections, repairs, and deficiencies
- Verify all parts, gauges, & devices are intact and within operable ranges
- Follow daily travel routes
- Conduct investigation and repairs
- Distribute job information to relative parties for quoting, billing, and follow up
- Communicate respectfully with customer base and answer any questions or concerns while on site
- Respond to service calls as needed
- Take part in a rotating on-call schedule to take after hours & weekend service calls
- Maintain care & stock of a company vehicle
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of fire protection inspection, testing, & maintenance
- Proficient with hand tools and mechanical skills
- Work well independently and with others
- Integrity to complete quality work independently
- Provide excellent customer service
Additional Requirements:
- A valid Driver’s License
- Position regularly requires the ability to stand, kneel, stoop, walk and lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to follow written & verbal instructions
- Comply with safety rules & regulations at all times
- Individual must pass pre-employment drug test & background checks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
