Position Summary:
We’re looking for an outgoing, attentive, and knowledgeable Server to join our front-of-house team. As a Server, you will guide guests through the Fire Forno experience, providing high quality service, answering questions about our menu, ensuring their needs are met promptly, and ensuring they leave satisfied.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
· Present menus, take food and beverage orders, provide recommendations based on guest preferences, and guide them through the menu with confidence and enthusiasm.
· Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the TOAST POS system.
· Maintain a strong understanding of menu items, ingredients, and specials.
· Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring all items are presented attractively.
· Check in with guests throughout the experience, anticipate their needs, and address any concerns promptly.
· Collaborate with the kitchen, bar, and support staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain communication regarding special requests or dietary restrictions.
· Handle payments accurately and close out checks in a timely manner.
· Maintain a clean and organized section, reset tables for new guests, and help with side work as requested.
· Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the restaurant.
Qualifications:
· Prior serving experience, prior POS handling, preferably TOAST, preferred in a full-service or fast-paced environment.
· Must obtain food handler’s certification.
· Must obtain alcohol education card.
· Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and team members effectively.
· Reliable, punctual, and able to take direction well.
· Must be able to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to stand for extended periods.
· Must be able to safely lift and easily maneuver plates of food, as well as supplies weighing up to 10 pounds.
