Job purpose
Assembly and Delivery employees ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. They use their hands or machines to do the job with greater precision. They must have good technical knowledge and possess great manual dexterity. An ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics etc. and follow them with precision is extremely important. They’ll pack the goods in shipping containers, develop mailing labels and shipping documents and ensure that all orders have been filled correctly.
Duties and responsibilities
- Basic sheet metal skills including but not limited to: deburring, spot facing, riveting, and trim panels
- Move product within the facility to ensure proper flow
- Receiving product including tracking shipments, paperwork, counting parts
- Processing orders with detail in paperwork and products
- Shipping on UPS, FedEx, USPS, and a variety of freight companies
- Organizing shipping supplies and area
- Tracking and counting inventory on a regular basis
- Packing, unpacking and moving boxes
- Working with purchasing and order processing team
- Assembling various parts based on work orders
- Minor electrical
- Organizing supplies and area
- Pulling parts for delivery and packaging based on counts
- Willingness to operate a forklift/ training for forklift
- Willingness to drive truck and trailer (non CDL) for deliveries and pickups
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
- Other job duties as required
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Mechanically Inclined
- High level of attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
- Willingness to adhere to all safety requirements: Safety shoes and glasses
- Driver’s license and clean driving record
- High school diploma/ GED
Working conditions
This job operates in a fabrication shop shipping and receiving environment. There is some outdoor exposure throughout the workday with a variety of weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as phone, computers, printers, scales, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, tape dispensers. This position is required to operate a forklift and drive a truck and trailer (non CDL).

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
