The Fire Sentry team serves our clients by providing end-to-end service across a wide range of protection and signaling systems. Our in-house design ensures timely turn-around of systems tailored to the needs of the facility, owners and other stakeholders. Our trained and certified technicians install, test and maintain systems from initial construction throughout the life of the system. Our wide-ranging abilities allow us to be a one-stop-shop for protection of life and physical assets by providing solutions that integrate, functioning efficiently and providing ease of use.
The Fire Alarm Technician will perform work on installation, troubleshooting, routine maintenance and testing of fire alarm, intrusion and other low voltage systems. The technician should be familiar with operating and maintenance procedures of various brands and models of fire alarm, access control and intrusion systems. The technician should be experienced in NEC requirements specific to fire alarm and other low voltage systems. The technician should be experienced with the installation, testing and maintenance requirements of NFPA 72. The long-term goal of the technician is to obtain NICET Level II or higher fire alarm certification. Expert technicians receive additional training for larger projects, specialized facility service and programming of more complex systems.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Idaho driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works efficiently to maintain project timelines and attain goals set by the field personnel manager.
- Excellent personal and workspace organizational skills.
- Two years experience with fire alarm and other low voltage systems.
- Idaho Limited Energy Electrical Installers license.
- Familiarity Silent Knight, Potter, Fire-Lite systems and their associated programming software(s).
- Ability to work occasional weekends, overnight travel and on-call rotations.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
