Role Summary:
We’re seeking a strategic, driven Sales Manager to lead the charge in building scalable sales processes, executing in the field, and laying the foundation for future team leadership. This role combines B2B relational selling, strategic process development, and hands-on outside sales execution — with the desire of growing into a leadership role as the sales team expands. Ideal for a player-coach ready to make a direct impact while building something meaningful.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Process Development
- Design and implement scalable sales strategies with a focus on long-cycle, relationship-based B2B sales.
- Review and refine existing sales processes, identify gaps, and build tools to support consistency, growth, and efficiency.
- Develop playbooks, training resources, and lead management systems to support a growing team.
- Provide leadership with actionable insights from field data and pipeline performance.
Relational B2B Selling & Field Sales
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with business clients, acting as a strategic partner throughout the sales process.
- Lead by example in prospecting, lead follow-up, solution-selling, and closing.
- Work to achieve company sales goals
- Represent the company at events, meetings, and in-person client engagements.
Sales Execution, Team Readiness & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate across departments, including marketing, product, and customer support managers, to ensure seamless client experience, hand-offs and alignment throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Serve as a mentor and future leader — helping shape hiring plans and supporting onboarding and development of new sales hires.
- Help define sales culture, standards, and best practices for a high-performance team environment.
- Prepare to transition from individual contributor to team leader as the sales org scales.
CRM Management & Reporting
- Own CRM accuracy and usage (e.g., Monday.com) for your pipeline and future team’s tracking.
- Generate insights, dashboards, and reports to track pipeline health, sales performance, and forecast accuracy.
- Ensure follow-up cadence and client communications are organized and strategically managed.
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of B2B sales experience, with demonstrated success in both relational selling and process development.
- Proven track record in outside sales and building lasting client relationships.
- Experience creating or refining sales strategies, processes, or playbooks.
- Strong leadership potential with interest or experience in mentoring and managing others.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
- Ability to work independently and open to travel to conferences, partners, and events.
Preferred:
- Experience building or scaling a sales team in a growing company.
- Familiarity with high-touch B2B industries (SaaS, enterprise solutions, services, manufacturing, etc.).
- Skilled in CRM and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, Monday.com).
