Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is seeking a Brand Manager to lead local/regional marketing, public relations, creative marketing, and product/menu management across all locations. This role partners with operations to drive guest engagement and brand visibility through strategic, purposeful initiatives.
The ideal candidate has a marketing background with restaurant operations experience (multi-unit, full-service, or polished casual dining preferred) and excels at developing and executing localized marketing programs.
This position reports to the Sr. Director of Communications and is based at Firebirds’ corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
Key Responsibilities
Local Marketing & Consumer PR
- Develop and execute Local Store Marketing (LSM) strategies to increase restaurant traffic.
- Lead consumer PR efforts, including working with local media and influencers.
- Manage local sponsorships and partnerships, including local execution of the brand’s national partnership with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
- Oversee marketing and PR for new restaurant openings.
- Analyze underperforming restaurants, competitive threats, and recommend solutions.
- Train Regional Managers and GMs on local marketing best practices.
Creative Marketing
- Oversee brand identity, creative assets, and marketing materials (digital, print, in-store).
- Collaborate with agencies and internal teams to create social media, in-store promotions, and digital campaigns.
- Manage photo, video, and design asset production.
- Own and organize creative asset files in an organized manner, available and easy to access by others on the team.
Product & Menu Management
- Oversee menu updates and changes, coordinating with operations, designers, and printers while maintaining relationships with those providers.
- Manage menu allotments and fulfillment with operations.
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of printed marketing materials.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or hospitality or related field.
- 3 years in marketing for a consumer-facing brand (restaurant/retail experience preferred).
- Marketing agency experience is a pluss
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with Regional Managers, MPs/GMs, vendors and co-workers
- Excellent presentation skills are required as well as the ability to meet deadlines for reporting and presentations assigned.
- Strong experience in field marketing and multi-unit operations.
- Ability to develop and execute localized marketing strategies.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to maintain regular attendance onsite.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Frequent use of hands, reaching, bending, and repetitive motions.
- Ability to travel by air and ground up to 25% of the time.
