Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our growing team . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, providing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management and estimating processes, along with the ability to analyze project specifications and Industry pricing.
Responsibilities
- Reports directly to the Vice President.
- Daily communication with Project coordinator on pricing and ordering.
- Daily communication with GC and Estimators.
- Creating and establishing relationships with all potential clients.
- Assist Operations director on project budgets.
- All takeoffs, quantities, Alternates, Addendums, RFP and VE Options for final bid to be held responsible by position before construction starts.
- Monitors and evaluates industry-wide bid announcements and client or customer requests for estimates and prepares potential project information for team.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project plans and specifications.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam, ProCore, And AutoDesk.
- Collaborate with Vice President and construction team to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
- Review contracts and scopes before contract is executed.
- Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to maintain budget control.
- Participates in executive-level meetings when needed to ensure that final estimate is executed properly.
- Maintain accurate records of project data, including plans, estimates, and project status reports.
- Participate in on-site activities such as site pictures of pre-construction, confirming existing landscaping and irrigation, Pre-Bid meetings.
Experience
- Must have minimum 5 yrs experience in construction estimating.
- Must have 5 yrs experience in commercial Landscape and Irrigation.
- Proficient in using estimating software, particularly Bluebeam.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, contracts, and specifications.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in estimates.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- GED Required
- Associates Degree or above - Preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
