What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Care Program Manager position at Firefly Home Care?
The Home Care Manager is responsible for managing home care services within a defined area to provide the best possible care, including :
- Recruiting, interviewing caregiver candidates and making hiring decisions for assigned area staff
- Onboarding and training new caregivers
- Providing ongoing training, management and performance evaluations for caregivers, ensuring compliance with all company policies and state and federal regulations, as well as making disciplinary and termination decisions for direct reports
- Managing the schedule for assigned area, with support from scheduling when available
- Creating and revising policies and procedures for direct reports
- Coordinating care both internally and with other providers
- Managing client and caregiver files and credentials in compliance with policies and regulations
- Handling client inquiries and performing intakes and care plans, as needed
- Receiving and triaging inbound calls
- Conducting home supervisory visits, as needed
- Taking on-call rotation
- Assisting with agency operations, as needed
