Firefly Tutors is hiring a Math and English Language Arts (ELA) Tutor for elementary school students, with special education experience!
This is a year-round position for the 24/25 school year and beyond!
IN-HOME/IN-PERSON tutors ONLY
Elementary school math and English language arts (ELA) tutor with special education experience, needed in Lake Forest CA, 92630 and surrounding areas (IN-PERSON TUTOR ONLY)
TUTOR MUST BE AVAILABLE to provide in-person tutoring throughout the week
Ideal tutor candidate must have/be:
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Engaging, skilled, creative, compassionate, intuitive, encouraging tutor
- Versed in math and English language arts (ELA) concepts and instruction for elementary school students
- Experience working with special need students (ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder)
- At least 1-2 years of experience working with students
Responsibilities
- Provide one on one tutoring sessions to students of varying ages and skill levels in mathematics, English language arts, and other subjects.
- Implement tailored lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student needs.
- Manage session dynamics effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with parents and educators to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
- Coordinate directly with parents to schedule tutoring sessions

Pay is $35 per hour
1-20 hours per week, Part-time only
