Firefly Tutors is URGENTLY hiring for a RUSSIAN LANGUAGE TUTOR
IN-HOME, Experienced Tutor ONLY
Russian Tutor for IN-HOME tutoring in Sacramento County CA, and surrounding areas needed to assist K-12 students in various school subjects
MUST BE AVAILABLE SOME WEEKDAY/DAYTIME HOURS (during school hours; mornings or early afternoon)
Ideal candidate must have/be:
- Bachelor's degree or above
- FUN, skilled, creative, compassionate, intuitive, encouraging tutor
- Fluent in RUSSIAN and ENGLISH
- Tutor must be able to assist students (K-12) who are English Language Learners (ELL) with schoolwork in Russian or English language
- Ability to help English Language Learner (ELL) students in a variety of subjects (math, English Language Arts, etc.) using Russian or English Language
- 1-2 years of experience working with students
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized tutoring sessions based on student's language proficiency in Russian and English
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly, fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
- Coordinate with parents/guardians to schedule recurring sessions.
- Collaborate with students to set achievable goals and track their development.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Manage tutoring sessions effectively, ensuring a supportive and productive learning environment.
Ability to teach other subject areas a PLUS and increases earning potential
Pay is $35 per hour
1-20 hours per week
