Firefly Tutors is hiring an Academic Tutor for middle school students!
This is a year-round position for the 24/25 school year and beyond!
IN-HOME/IN-PERSON tutors ONLY
Middle School tutor needed in Yucaipa, CA 92399 and surrounding areas (IN-PERSON TUTOR ONLY)
TUTOR MUST BE AVAILABLE to provide in-person tutoring throughout the week
Ideal tutor candidate must have/be:
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Engaging, skilled, creative, compassionate, intuitive, encouraging tutor
- Versed in English language arts concepts (reading, writing, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, etc.) and instruction for middle school students
- At least 1-2 years of experience working with students
Responsibilities
- Provide one on one tutoring sessions to students of varying ages and skill levels in English language arts (ELA) and other subjects.
- Implement tailored lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student needs.
- Manage session dynamics effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with parents and educators to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
- Coordinate directly with parents to schedule tutoring sessions

Pay is $35 per hour
1-20 hours per week, Part-time tutors only
