Firefly Tutors is URGENTLY hiring for an ENGLISH LEARNER (EL) TUTOR
IN-HOME, Experienced Tutor ONLY
ENGLISH LEARNER (EL) tutor for IN-HOME tutoring in Riverside County and surrounding areas needed to assist k-12 students in all subject areas
MUST BE AVAILABLE SOME WEEKDAY/DAYTIME HOURS (during school hours; mornings or early afternoon)
Ideal tutor candidate must have/be:
- Bachelor's degree or above
- FUN, skilled, creative, compassionate, intuitive, encouraging tutor
- Tutor must be able to assist k-12 students who are English Learners (EL) with variety of core subject areas (math, reading, writing, science, etc.)
- English Language Authorization (CLAD)
- 1-2 years of experience working with students
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized tutoring sessions in English to enhance EL students' language skills.
- Implement lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of English Learners (EL).
- Utilize learning technology to facilitate engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Manage session dynamics to create a supportive and productive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure comprehension and retention.
- Collaborate with students and parents to set achievable learning goals and provide constructive feedback.
Ability to teach other subject areas a PLUS and increases earning potential
Pay is $35 per hour
1-20 hours per week
