Firefly Tutors is hiring a Behavior Technician and Tutor for elementary aged students!
This is a year-round position for the 24/25 school year and beyond!
IN-HOME/IN-PERSON lessons ONLY
Elementary tutor and behavior technician needed in Apopka FL, 32703 and surrounding areas (IN-PERSON ONLY)
MUST BE AVAILABLE to provide in-person tutoring throughout the week
Ideal tutor candidate must have/be:
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Engaging, skilled, creative, compassionate, intuitive, encouraging tutor
- Trained in ABA therapy and experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) students including non-verbal
- Versed in core subject instruction for elementary aged students using multi-sensory approach
- At least 1-2 years of experience working with students
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized tutoring sessions tailored to each student's learning needs and goals.
- Implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate relevant curriculum and learning technology.
- Manage session dynamics effectively, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Collaborate with parents and educators to support students, particularly those with autism or special education needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
- Foster a supportive atmosphere for both children and adults in educational settings.
