Responsibilities
- Provide proper animal handling techniques to ensure the safety and comfort of pets during their visits.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennel areas, examination rooms, and laboratory spaces.
- Perform laboratory tasks such as collecting samples and conducting basic tests as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animals in critical care situations, providing support and assistance as needed.
- Record patient histories, treatments administered, and any changes in behavior or health status.
- Assist with the intake of animals, including checking in patients and managing appointment schedules.
Skills
- Proficiency in animal handling techniques to ensure safe interactions with various species.
- Experience with veterinary critical care practices is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures relevant to veterinary medicine.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols for different types of animals.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
