Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in quick service or fast food restaurants. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions and handling cash.
Duties
- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and accurate order fulfillment.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for order entry and payment processing.
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate cash handling.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in a similar role within the restaurant or food industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills is essential.
- Experience using cash registers or POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude are required.
