SCOPE OF POSITION :
The Cage Operations Administrator is responsible for the selection, onboarding, and essential training of Cage Cashiers. This role ensures all accounting activities within the Cage Department are conducted accurately and efficiently, in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State Tax Commissions, and established company policies, procedures, and Internal Controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The following duties outline the primary responsibilities of this position. Additional duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management. All duties must adhere to Tribal, Federal, and other applicable requirements, as well as organizational policies, procedures, and practices.
- Develop and execute a staffing plan for the Cage Department within the standards established by Cage leadership.
- Provide ongoing training and development to enhance technical, regulatory, and service expectations, addressing deficiencies as needed.
- Train all Cage Team Members on policies, procedures, and transaction processes; assist other team members within the Cage as required.
- Support the Cage Shift Manager in developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures to improve overall functionality.
- Assist Cage Team Members in understanding complex responsibilities within the department.
- Ensure the accuracy, security, and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
- Facilitate the flow of information by attending, organizing, or facilitating departmental meetings.
- Maintain knowledge of Title 31 laws and the Company’s internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Notify supervisors or other personnel of any significant or relevant changes affecting the department.
- Prepare and manage the master Cage Department schedule to ensure appropriate staffing and efficient time-off management.
- Assist Cage Management with administrative responsibilities and perform the duties of a Cage Supervisor as necessary.
- Implement and maintain efficient filing systems for departmental policies, training materials, and operational reports.
- Evaluate and recommend process improvements to streamline daily administrative operations.
- Coordinate and track departmental projects, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met effectively
- Uphold the highest level of confidentiality.
- Maintain a consistent and reliable attendance record in accordance with the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Attendance Policy.
- Monitor and organize departmental documentation to ensure records are current, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements
- Serve as an exemplary representative of FireKeepers Casino Hotel.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Cage Operations Administrator carries out supervisory responsibilities in compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws. These include maintaining adequate staffing levels, interviewing and hiring Team Members, training, planning and assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving issues.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess the necessary education, training, and experience to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the role effectively. FireKeepers Casino Hotel reserves the right to validate a candidate’s qualifications through interviews, testing, or other methods. The minimum requirements for this position include a high school diploma or GED, along with at least two years of experience in Cage Operations and one year of supervisory experience in the same field. Applicants with prior training experience are preferred. Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills, as well as strong numerical aptitude and computer literacy, are essential for success in this role. Applicants must also be at least 21 years of age and proficient in both written and verbal English communication

GENERAL OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Additional qualifications include college coursework in Accounting, Banking, Finance, or a related field. Preference is given to Applicants with prior experience in developing and administering training programs. Successful completion of FireKeepers Casino Hotel Track Training programs and being WEEA Certified is also highly desirable.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
This position requires strong language skills to effectively perform essential duties. The candidate must be able to read and interpret various types of documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, ensuring compliance and proper execution of tasks.
Additionally, the role demands the ability to write clear and concise routine reports and correspondence that convey accurate and professional information. Strong verbal communication skills are also necessary, as the candidate must be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees, demonstrating professionalism and clarity in all interactions.
