Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director, provides services necessary for maintaining a safe working environment.
Services include safety rounding, routine checks of fire extinguishers, and light maintenance necessary to maintain a safe working environment.
This position serves the outpatient offices of Firelands Counseling and Recovery Services in Seneca, Sandusky, Ottawa and Erie Counties.
Renders all services within department guidelines and in compliance with rules/standards set forth by Medicaid/Medicare, HFAP, OhioMHAS, and CARF.
- Monthly rounding at each location to assess physical plant needs.
- Monthly checks of Fire Extinguishers and coordinating service for fire extinguishers as needed.
- Monthly testing of panic buttons.
- Light maintenance such as changing light bulbs, ceiling tiles, and carpet squares as needed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Light repairs including small repairs in drywall and painting touch up.
- Coordinating with physical Plant Operations, landlords, and external contractors as needed for physical plant issues.
- Coordinating with lawn and snow removal services as needed.
- Ensuring grounds are free of trash and other debris which may impair safe travel.
- Ensuring sidewalks are clear of ice/snow.
- Maintains order in storage areas ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
- Assists Directors with errands as needed.
What You Will Need:
- Two years’ experience in maintenance or related field.
- Heart Saver, Aegis Crisis Prevention, and First Aid certification within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to be mobile and possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator’s license and be insurable under Firelands’ auto policy. Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request.
