As a Project Manager to our installation teams, you’ll be responsible for overseeing fire alarm, sprinkler and special hazards projects. You’ll be responsible for ensuring quality work and managing costs, while helping us develop a culture that is friendly, productive and promotes teamwork.   

 

What we’re looking for…

You’ll be the right one for us if you have at least 3 years of experience working in construction project management.  This is a good opportunity for individuals who are looking to move from a junior level to a more independent role. We are looking for individuals with experience reviewing drawings, establishing timelines and managing labor costs.  Experience with computer skills using MS Word, Excel, SharePoint and Adobe PDF are a benefit.

 

To be qualified, you must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record, reliable transportation and be able to meet specific criteria defined by our vehicle insurance carriers.  You must also be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. 

 

This role will often work indoors and outdoors, so you must be comfortable working in different environments.  Also, this position will require the ability to read, speak, sit, stand, walk, use your hands, reach, climb ladders and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.  You should also be able to measure, cut and install materials as well as read and understand CAD drawings.

 

Most importantly, you must be able to:

  • Create a comprehensive plan for the project including setting objectives and creating a timeline. 
  • Manage the resources required for the project, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Maintain open communication with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and the project team, to ensure that everyone is informed and working towards the same goals.
  • Oversee Install Technicians/Contractors on the day-to-day functions of the project.
  • Work closely with other department team members to meet project goals.
  • Review project costs and assist sales team with change order opportunities.
  • Keep detailed records of all aspects of the construction project, including contracts, permits, and financial records. 
  • Show a commitment to quality and a sense of responsibility for safety and the protection of life and property. 
  • Be self-motivated and reliable with a strong work ethic, integrity, and a great attitude.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members to meet goals.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be 18
  • Per Fireline’s insurance policy, it is a requirement that employees ages 21 and over are permitted to drive company vehicles.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and reliable transportation. 
  • Fireline is a drug-free company. Employees will be required to take a drug test at the time of hire and periodically throughout their employment. This will include the testing of cannabinoids (marijuana), opiates, amphetamines, and methamphetamines.  Fireline is a DOT regulated business working in the life safety industry and per DOT rule 49 CFR Part.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Be comfortable working in different environments as our technicians work indoors and outdoors. 
  • The ability to read, speak, sit, stand, walk, use your hands, reach, climb ladders, and occasionally lift up- to 50 lbs.
