Job Summary: Are you a Master Electrician with a passion for cutting-edge technology and a knack for problem-solving? We're looking for someone like you to join our dynamic team! As a Master Auto Electrician specializing in custom fire apparatus, you'll play a crucial role in designing and installing state-of-the-art electrical systems that keep our first responders safe and ready for action.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety First: Ensure all electrical work meets the highest standards of safety and compliance with NFPA and OEM standards.
Innovate and Create: Layout and install advanced electrical systems for custom fire apparatus, including wiring, lighting, and control systems.
Hands-On Excellence: Install, test and troubleshoot electrical components and systems in custom built fire apparatus.
Documentation: Create detailed electrical schematics for each custom apparatus.
Mentorship: Share your expertise by providing technical guidance and support to junior electricians and apprentices.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to seamlessly integrate electrical systems.
Stay Ahead: Keep up with the latest advancements in electrical technology and fire apparatus standards.
Requirements
Master Electrician certification or EVT/ASE Master Certificate or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical work, with experience on custom fire apparatus or similar vehicles.
Knowledge about 12V and CAN Protocol based automotive electrical systems and experience programming emergency vehicle lighting systems.
Whelen Cencom Programming Experience Preferred.
Proficiency in creating electrical schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary: Starting rate of$42-$50/hour depending on experience and qualifications.
