The Firefighter’s Association of the State of New York (FASNY) has an opening for a Marketing Communications Manager. We’re seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented team member with excellent written and verbal communication skills to play a vital role in ensuring our marketing campaigns are executed smoothly and efficiently.
The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for managing internal marketing requests and executing campaigns designed to promote FASNY’s mission and increase financial support for the FASNY Firefighter’s Home through strategic use of graphics, logos, and other branded promotional assets. They will serve as the liaison between FASNY’s internal departments and outside Marketing and Public Relations vendors to understand promotion needs, coordinate multimedia packages, and present design ideas while ensuring critical delivery deadlines are met.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Manages internal marketing requests and collaborates with FASNY staff and committee chairpersons to fully understand the goals and scope of the desired marketing program or promotional support; Ensures that proper vetting/approvals are met.
• Acts as a liaison between FASNY’s management and contracted Marketing and PR Vendors to deliver design ideas and promotional recommendations; Based on assessment, drafts and proposes communication campaigns, which may include social and online media, print media, direct mail, and other multimedia.
• Creates and maintains a Marketing-Communications calendar for multimedia promotion requests; Tracks assignments for content delivery to ensure projects are moving as planned to meet deadlines.
• Assists with the development of web content, filming scripts, and production as needed.
• Assists the Development Director and Office Business Coordinator in setting up appeal codes, dashboards, and data tracking tools, as well as the creation of auto-generated receipts and acknowledgement letters.
• Maintains a comprehensive internal email database for targeted email campaigns.
• In collaboration with FASNY’s outside vendor, develop and execute eblast campaigns.
• Maintains current knowledge of online marketing opportunities and trends, web analytics, and SEO techniques to best reach FASNY’s target audiences.
• Analyzes existing website traffic and internet activity related to FASNY training and education, special events, legislative communications, and fundraising campaigns.
• Evaluates the success of multichannel campaigns when completed and provides analysis reports to management.
• Attends FASNY’s Annual Convention and assists with sponsors/exhibitor set up, scholarship night auction, and registration support as needed.
• Assists with concept development and facilitates the design process and mailing of fundraising materials.
• Manages all aspects of content creation, design and execution of a new quarterly e-newsletter to promote activities at the FASNY Firefighters Home in Hudson. *Must pass security clearance and finger printing to interview resident members and staff for featured stories.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
- Interested candidates will need to hold a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-years of experience working with social media, marketing, CRM and database management platforms. *Nimble AMS/Salesforce knowledge a plus.
- Minimum of 2-years of experience using email marketing platforms for promotional purposes
- Minimum of 1-years of experience using Canva or Adobe Design

Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
