Fireplace Installer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fireplace Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and masonry, with the ability to install various types of fireplaces, including gas, wood, and electric models. This role requires a combination of technical skills and craftsmanship to ensure that installations meet safety standards and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Install fireplaces according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine installation requirements.
• Perform masonry work, including bricklaying and stucco application.
• Conduct site assessments to prepare for installation, including measuring spaces and assessing structural integrity.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and concrete formers, to complete installations efficiently.
• Ensure that all installations are completed with high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns during the installation process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.

Skills

• Proficiency in masonry techniques, including bricklaying and stucco application.
• Experience with glass installation for fireplace doors or enclosures.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Background in carpentry, particularly trim carpentry for finishing touches around fireplace installations.
• Familiarity with construction site safety practices and regulations.
• Knowledge of concrete forming processes for base installations.
• Experience in hardscape projects related to outdoor fireplaces or fire pits.
• Ability to perform construction estimating for project planning purposes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
