Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Fire Extinguisher Rebuilding Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, disassembling, repairing, recharging, and rebuilding various types of fire extinguishers in compliance with NFPA standards and local regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and diagnose fire extinguishers for maintenance, repair, or rebuilding.
- Disassemble, clean, and replace worn or damaged parts.
- Recharge and refill extinguishers according to manufacturer and industry guidelines.
- Conduct pressure testing and quality control inspections.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA and OSHA standards.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, following all safety procedures.
- Assist with inventory management of parts and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in fire extinguisher maintenance, repair, or a related mechanical field is preferred.
- Knowledge of NFPA 10 and fire extinguisher service regulations is a plus.
- Ability to use hand tools and testing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Certification as a Fire Extinguisher Technician (preferred but not required—training may be provided).
