Broiler Service Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Broiler Service Technician to monitor bird performance, assist contract growers, and optimize production efficiency. This role involves tracking bird mortality, feed conversion, and scheduling while providing expert recommendations to improve grower operations and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between the company and contract growers , ensuring effective communication and support.
- Monitor growers’ husbandry practices and provide recommendations to enhance bird health and performance.
- Track, analyze, and record bird mortality rates, feed conversion, and flock performance metrics .
- Maintain and manage feed tank inventories , ensuring timely ordering of feed as needed.
- Assist with scheduling and training employees as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science or a related field (experience may be considered in place of a degree).
- 2 to 5 years of directly related experience in broiler or poultry farm operations.
- Strong knowledge of poultry husbandry, bird health, and farm management practices .
- Ability to work independently and provide clear guidance to growers.
- Strong analytical and record-keeping skills.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
