Maintenance Supervisor – Poultry Plant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in a fast-paced poultry processing plant. This role is crucial in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and optimizing plant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, preventive maintenance programs, and team leadership.
Night Shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and support the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
- Implement and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in plant equipment.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, and food safety standards .
- Manage inventory of maintenance parts and tools while staying within budget.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) such as SAP to track work orders and maintenance history.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all maintenance activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Six Sigma principles .
- Assist in capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility expansions as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of maintenance supervisory experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment (poultry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems .
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in CMMS (SAP, Maximo, or similar systems) .
- Understanding of OSHA regulations, food safety standards, and GMPs .
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment .
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
