Sanitation Supervisor – Sanford, NC (3rd Shift) Pay Range:$60-$65 10 percent annual bonus
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to oversee and ensure the thorough cleaning of our plant, meeting USDA and company standards. This role is responsible for managing sanitation operations, maintaining compliance, and leading a sanitation team to uphold food safety and hygiene protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of sanitation workers to ensure thorough and timely cleaning of the plant.
- Ensure compliance with USDA regulations, food safety standards, and company policies .
- Maintain personnel records, including training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Communicate with USDA inspectors regarding sanitation-related concerns.
- Manage communication between the plant and chemical suppliers to ensure the proper use of sanitation products.
- Ensure all employees follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols .
- Monitor and manage sanitation product inventory and usage .
- Oversee and maintain the sanitation budget while optimizing resource use.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate sanitation employees, ensuring an efficient and productive team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 1 year of management experience in a food or poultry processing facility.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation procedures, food safety regulations, and USDA compliance .
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred .
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment .
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Equivalent directly related work experience will be considered in place of a degree.
