HR Coordinator
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Coordinator to support the Human Resources department in ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations. The HR Coordinator will assist in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll, compliance, and training, contributing to the overall success of the team and organization. HR Coordinators plan and organize events, develop email content for newsletters and other inter-office communication within the department and the company. The role is focused on administration providing a valuable service to the organization in maintaining order and a system for everything.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist in posting job advertisements, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
- Conduct background checks and prepare offer letters.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation processes.
- Employee Relations
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and HR-related matters. Answers frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and events.
- HR Administration
- Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include new hires, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Prepare HR reports and analyze data as needed.
- Assists to maintain employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
- Maintains internal HRIS system.
- Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
- Assists with planning and execution of annual events, such as benefits enrollment, employee engagement events, or other celebrations.
- Responsible for timely submission of requests such as unemployment claims, employment verifications, and garnishments.
- Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Training & Development
- Coordinate training sessions and workshops for employees.
- Maintain training records and track employee development progress.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 1-3 years related experience preferred, with at least one year in human resources highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Labor Relations, or related degree preferred
- Experience working with automated HRIS software programs preferred (ADP Workforce Now ideal).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR tools.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

- Have 2 years of experience working in an administrative or office management role.
