Position Summary
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for effectively managing and developing a team focused on maintaining inventory accuracy, while supporting operational performance goals. The position is responsible for ensuring the daily completion of all work in process and investigating & reconciling discrepancies as needed. The Warehouse Supervisor manages the completion of physical cycle counts and inventory audits, ensuring the accuracy of inventory records and identify discrepancies, maintaining an inventory accuracy of 95% or better.
Essential Job Functions:
- Effectively manage and develop the team of forklift operators and shuttle drivers, by creating and sustaining a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
- Provide leadership and oversight to the Warehouse, Inventory, Operations functions.
- Provide back-up support to the office clerk, when out of office or assistance is needed, ensuring critical tasks continue to be completed.
- Manage warehouse audits and cycle counts, verifying the accuracy of inventory records and identify discrepancies, maintaining an inventory accuracy of 95% or better.
- Ensure the product inventory in each stagging location are accurate, daily.
- Support and train team members to perform assigned job functions, ensuring storage and inventory controls are performed according to prescribed SOPs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in inventory management and implement best practices to optimize efficiency.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, utilizing structured problem-solving techniques to reveal and address root causes of issues.
- Maintain a floor presence visually validating transactions ensuring all procedures in place are working effectively.
- Support and works closely with Operations Shift Supervisors to ensure operation performance targets are met and issues are resolved.
- Other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualification & Skills
- Minimum 3-to-5 years' experience including at least one year in a supervisory role.
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite such as Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of performing data queries in an ERP system, especially in sales order and inventory modules.
- Food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong data analytical skills.
- Proven time management skills with meeting deadlines.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated high attention to detail and documentation.
- Excellent, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- A positive and collaborative work style.
- Strong leadership skills
- Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, or irregular hours especially during fresh processing season.
Working Conditions/Physical Factors: This position operates in a professional office environment and in a food processing production facility. The facility has loud machinery, wet floors and at times, cold temperatures.
