Position Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, under close supervision, performs entry-level duties as assigned in the installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery used in the operation of facilities production lines and performs related duties as assigned. 3 years of experience required or ability to quickly learn necessary skills to be successful within 6 months of starting date. Expected to primarily focus on completion of preventive work orders and supports other team members in larger projects by helping where current experience and skill level can assist. Must be able to enter completion notes consistently into Fiix after work orders are complete.
Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on manufacturing and packaging equipment, including lubrication, adjustments, and minor repairs.
- Preventive Maintenance: Assist in conducting preventive maintenance on production machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting: Help identify and troubleshoot issues with manufacturing and packaging equipment. Report any complex problems to senior maintenance staff.
- Equipment Monitoring: Monitor the performance of production equipment and report any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks. Report any safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts and tools specific to manufacturing and packaging equipment.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and tasks completed. Use maintenance management software as directed.
- Emergency Response: Respond to basic emergency maintenance requests related to production equipment promptly and escalate more complex issues to senior staff.
- Team Support: Work collaboratively with other maintenance technicians and production staff to ensure smooth operations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including cold storage areas.
- Ability to stand, walk, crouch, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Administrative Activities:
- Maintain critical spare parts inventory for company wide application.
- Record test measurements of various equipment and log data in an organized and timely fashion.
- Participate in safety committee and operations meetings monthly.
Schedule:
- Full-time position with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed.

- Ability to take low voltage, amperage, OHM, and pressure readings Ability to be certified to operate forklifts and scissors lifts.
- Ability to learn refrigeration systems
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; to include maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding machinery.
