Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Technician to join our dynamic team. This role requires hands-on experience with high voltage systems and proficiency in using various electrical testing equipment. As a Lead Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment and systems while maintaining safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the technical team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on industrial machinery and high voltage systems.
- Utilize tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues accurately.
- Fabricate components as needed to support repairs or modifications to existing equipment.
- Train and mentor junior technicians in best practices for mechanical repairs and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide insights on product performance and customer needs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and equipment status.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or in a similar technical role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Proficiency in welding techniques is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with high voltage systems and safe handling practices.
- Experience using electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters is essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Technical sales experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
