Senior Electrical Engineer
Onsite Daily : 5629 Copley Drive, San Diego CA (Occasional remote work may be possible as approved by the manager. RELOCATION is possible for the successful candidate.)
Firestorm as a company grew out of the simple question : how does a US ally country with a respectively low defense budget deter an aggressor state entity with a vastly larger war chest? We're building the very answer to that question, something we call "democratized deterrence." We aim to upend the current defense procurement cost paradigm by bringing world-class capabilities to bear at meaningfully lower costs.
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a passion for innovation to join our fast-growing team. You will be responsible for supporting, designing, and developing a broad array of electronic components and circuits used in the development of our modular UAV systems.
What You Will Do :
- Conduct PCB / A design including collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, test, debug, and integration with the system.
- Shape, support, and design electrical systems and subsystems for new products and components.
- Design and prototype cable assembly and wire harness systems, ideally from prototype stage through mass production.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with electrical engineering-related suppliers.
- Document new test procedures and report test plan results effectively.
- Read and interpret designs / schematics and troubleshoot circuit problems.
- Collaborate within a fast-paced environment on a dynamic team to drive project progress.
