Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct training sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Educate players on game strategies, rules, and techniques to enhance their understanding of basketball
- Assess individual player performance and provide constructive feedback to foster improvement.
- Organize and lead practice sessions, ensuring that all players are engaged and challenged.
- Promote physical fitness through conditioning drills and exercises relevant to basketball.
- Collaborate with other coaches to develop comprehensive training programs that cater to various skill levels.
- Maintain a safe training environment by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring proper equipment usage.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff regarding schedules, expectations, and player progress.
Requirements
- Previous coaching experience in basketball or related sports is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of basketball techniques, rules, and strategies.
- Ability to educate and motivate young athletes in a positive manner.
- Experience in other sports such as soccer, Martial Arts (including Judo and Karate), Cheerleading, or climbing is a plus.
- Background in Physical Education or related fields is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with players of all ages.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that promotes teamwork and respect among players.
- Must be able to pass any required background checks or certifications as mandated by the organization.
This position is strictly to run 2, 3-day camps throughout the summer.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $27.77 per hour
