What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Apprentice Alarm position at Firetrol Protection Systems?
Founded in 1984, Firetrol is the national leader in fire protection & life safety services. We are currently seeking a Industrial Fire Alarm Helper to join our team of over 1,100of the best fire protection professionals in the industry. This position is based in our Houston, TX location.
- Assist with the installation of fire alarm equipment and the service, repair and maintenance of fire alarm systems under direct supervision of a licensed Fire Alarm Technician.
- Assist with diagnosing and evaluating industrial fire protection systems that require servicing as well as troubleshoot issues that arise during inspections under direct supervision of a licensed Fire Alarm Technician.
- Interact with customers, contractors, vendors and other employees in a respectful, professional manner.
- Some overtime, nights, weekends and on-call hours may be required.
- Experience installing Conduit both EMT and Rigid.
- Work experience, training or education in the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of alarm systems or related equipment is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- May will primarily be in industrial and commercial locations.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain any applicable state licenses.
- A current Driver’s License is preferred.
- Must be able to satisfy Government, Federal and Customs background check requirements.
