What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Alarm Service Technician (IAH) position at Firetrol Protection Systems?
Founded in 1984, Firetrol is the national leader in fire protection & life safety services. We are currently seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our team of the best fire protection professionals in the industry. This position is based in our Houston, TX location.
- Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems.
- Provide detailed reports and recommended corrective actions to the customer.
- Work includes climbing ladders, climbing stairs, lifting at least 50lbs, walking long distances to reach all areas of buildings where work must be performed.
- Interact with customers, contractors, and other employees in a respectful, professional manner.
- At least five (5) years’ experience in the field installation, inspection, programming or servicing of fire alarm detection systems.
- Proven record of providing excellent customer service and care.
- Excellent verbal communication skills required to work with customers, technicians, sales personnel, and managers.
- Ability to work independently, as well as with other team members.
- Valid Texas State Fire Marshal FAL License
- Valid Driver’s License
- Pass Drug and Background screening, including motor vehicle records, and ability to obtain an airport badge with customs clearance.
- Able to obtain NICET I in Fire Alarm Systems in 90 days
