What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Corporate Counsel position at Firm Advice?
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Firm Advice is conducting a search for a Senior Corporate Counsel on behalf of a global $2B technology company HQ in N. VA. This position will report to the general counsel and will work with business and technical teams, as well as multiple subsidiaries, to draft and negotiate commercial agreements, work with outside counsel to ensure compliance with privacy regulations and handle other corporate legal matters. Our client will consider attorneys who have experience only with basic contracts, such as NDAs, and terms including warranty, indemnity, and termination and want to receive training on more complex contracts. This position offers the opportunity to learn different practice areas as the general counsel grows the legal team.
Hybrid 2 days a week in N. Virginia.
REQUIREMENTS
- JD and license to practice in at least one state in the US; ability to be admitted to VA Bar as Corporate Counsel.
- 4 to 7 (preferred) plus years’ experience drafting and negotiating commercial technology agreements.
- Data privacy experience a plus.
- EEOC and / or M&A experience a plus.
- Willingness to learn new practice areas preferred.
- Must be detail oriented.
