What are the responsibilities and job description for the DevOps (Site Reliability Enginer) position at FirmPilot?
At FirmPilot, we are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who is passionate about true Continuous Delivery, as defined by Dave Farley and the DORA research program. Our Tech Stack & Environment- Event-driven microservices using AWS SNS/SQS
- Containerized applications running on AWS ECS
- .NET backend with room for polyglot services (Python, etc.)
- Next.js frontend optimized for performance
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
- Monitoring & Observability with DataDog
- Build true Continuous Delivery pipelines that enable safe, frequent production deployments
- Implement testing in production strategies like canary deployments and feature toggles
- Design robust event-driven architectures using AWS messaging services
- Establish security best practices across containerized services
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency
- Drive observability improvements across backend and frontend systems
- Deep understanding of Continuous Delivery principles and real-world implementation
- Experience with AWS ECS, SNS/SQS, and event-driven architectures
- Strong background in container orchestration and Docker
- Expertise in security best practices for cloud-native environments
- Knowledge of frontend performance optimization and debugging in Next.js
- Track record of improving deployment frequency while maintaining stability
- Ability to lead technical change and influence engineering culture
- You will lead the charge in moving to true Continuous Delivery
- You will design and implement modern deployment strategies that eliminate the need for staging environments
- You will work with cutting-edge event-driven systems in a cloud-native environment
- You will build secure, observable, and scalable systems across our full stack
