Position Overview
As a Product Analyst, you’ll be more than just a “numbers” person; you’ll play a vital role in analyzing and tracking performance of our insurance products. You will develop and maintain reports, proactively build business cases, and monitor the impact on the profits and losses.
Utilizing your keen analytical skills, you will support the achievement of growth and profitability goals of our products. You will make sense of data from various sources and work closely with other groups, such as Business Intelligence, Product Development, and Pricing. You will identify opportunities for, and draw conclusions about, how we can improve our product offerings.
You’ll put your problem-solving experience and good business sense to the test as you develop project plans and present your ideas to co-workers and senior managers.
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, not afraid to fail, and willing and able to learn new skills quickly. You must have strong Excel skills and have a desire to enhance and compliment those skills by learning how to use new software to help you achieve your goals.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reports designed to track overall health of our products
- Analyze competition and identify market opportunities
- Must present complex analyses clearly and in an actionable manner using different resources such as Excel, Maptitude, Radar, etc.
- Lead or aid with product analysis and initiatives to drive positive results
- Effectively analyze performance metrics and direct organization accordingly
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related emphasis or equivalent
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
- Analytical and likes to work with data; has the ability to look at different data elements and draw conclusions
- Able to make sound, data-driven recommendations
- Comfortable in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- SQL Server knowledge is a plus
- Must be an effective communicator both in writing and verbally
- Ability to generate quality results under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to embrace change and show flexibility and adaptability
- Must be able to work independently with very little active supervision and possess initiative
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be willing to propose ideas for improvement and innovation to current practices.
- Must be able to see analytical efforts through to completion
