- Efficiently manages the total loss settlement process and rental expenses; works closely with appraisers, rental facilities, body shops, and salvage vendors
- Manages deductibles and policy limits
- Understands the applicable statutes, regulations, and case law
- Evaluates and negotiates settlement of automobile first and third party physical damage claims within established settlement authority limits
- Negotiates any excessive storage charges
- Analyzes information obtained to establish compliance for regulatory requirements and settlement value
- Explains procedures and answer inquiries for adjusting auto total loss claims
- Meets all quality standards and expectations based off Acceptance’s best practices and complies with state specific regulations
- Possesses strong customer service skills and behaviors
- Makes decisions in an informed, confident, and timely manner
- Maintains constructive working relationships despite differing perspectives
- Other duties as assigned
- Requires a high school diploma or Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an auto insurance Claims Adjuster
- Required to have or secure and maintain appropriate state adjuster license(s) and continuing education credits; yearly training required
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills; flexible and versatile
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

- Able to lift 0-10 pounds without assistance
