Position Summary

The Member Lending Advisor with First Alliance Credit Union will play a crucial role in utilizing lending as a tool to assist members in reaching their financial objectives. This role required a passion and commitment to providing financial education, listening to members’ needs, and offering tailored products and services that drive financial success. While lending will be the primary focus, this role will also promote deposit products and refer members to other credit union partners to ensure full support and financial success of member.

Essential Functions

  • Lending Solutions : Work closely with members to understand their financial needs and goals, providing appropriate lending solutions that align with their objectives.
  • Financial Education : Offer financial education to members, empowering them to make informed decisions about their finances and encouraging them to take advantage of available products and services.
  • Relationship Building : Establish and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with members, ensuring consistent communication and follow-up to foster trust and loyalty.
  • Exceptional Member Experience : Deliver outstanding member experience by actively listening to concerns, addressing inquiries promptly, and ensuring seamless experience throughout the lending process.
  • Deposit Products : Identify opportunities for cross-sell on deposit products during lending discussion, providing members with a comprehensive suite of financial solutions.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with other credit union partners and departments to address members’ broader financial needs, ensuring they receive holistic support.
  • Team Support : Be a strong team player, assisting in various areas of the branch as needed to maintain a high level of member experience and operational efficiency.

Pay and Benefits

Starting pay : $23.21 - $27.31 Hourly

There may be an increase of base pay based on skills and experience.

Competencies

  • Education :  High school graduate or equivalent
  • Experience : 3 Years of member service experience.
  • minimum of 1year lending experience required
  • Skills :

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with members.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic Understanding of loans and credit union products and services.
  • Proven skills in goal attainment
  • Proficient in using technology and various electronic communication tools.
  • This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a passion for helping others achieve their financial goals.

  • Member Experience : The degree to which member service is demonstrated in the day to day business environment. The level of support for co-workers as well as outside members, vendors, contractors, and legal counsel etc.
  • Loan Growth : The level of loan growth achieved as compared against a pre-determined goal. The degree of effectiveness demonstrated in making loans.
  • Decision-Making / Judgment :  The ability to make prudent decisions that are timely, well researched, and reflect awareness of impact.
  • Policy Compliance :  The degree to which the employee has knowledge of and complies with organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Communication : The ability to effectively converse and listen to both internal and external members. The use of proper written and grammatical skills, and the meaningful application of computer technology (e-mail, Internet, web-based vendor platforms, etc.)
  • Problem Solving : The ability to predict, recognize, and define problems. Skill in generating, selecting, and implementing timely and meaningful solutions.
  • Salary : $23 - $27
