What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Security Intern - Hybrid position at First American?
What You'll Do:
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing vulnerabilities across various applications and systems, working closely with both teams.
- Participate in the development and implementation of security best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Support the teams in conducting asset and application security assessments to ensure that our enterprise is secure from threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate communication and knowledge sharing regarding security initiatives and findings.
- Help maintain documentation related to vulnerabilities and security assessments, ensuring transparency and traceability.
- Engage in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning discussions to contribute fresh ideas and perspectives.
- Gain exposure to security tools and technologies used in vulnerability management and application security.
What You'll Bring:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, and application security concepts.
- 2 year's experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript) and web technologies (HTML, CSS, etc.) is a plus.
- 2 year's experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g.,
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and other departments.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates interested in this role must be able to complete internship onsite 3 days a week, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays on a regular basis in order to be considered.
Pay Range: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location
