GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Assist the Branch Manager in executing the sales and growth initiatives within the branch. The Relationship Banker will be responsible for building, deepening, and maintaining customer relationships while delivering excellent customer service at all times. They will also be responsible for cross-selling bank products with a high degree of expertise in Consumer Lending, Credit Card Services, Business Services, and providing quality referrals to Wealth Management. The Relationship Banker may serve as a backup for the branch management team and provide sales and service leadership to the branch team as directed by the Branch Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Building and maintaining customer relationships by opening new accounts, loan applications, and other account maintenance.
- Provide leadership to the branch to provide product and service knowledge proficiency within the team and assist with operational duties as directed by the Branch Manager.
- Help maximize customer adoption to new service concepts by introducing them and educating them how to utilize new service concepts.
- Assist with identifying and calling on prospects for new business under the guidance of the branch manager to help meet the bank's growth initiatives.
- Provide customer problem resolution to meet customers' needs while mitigating risk to the bank.
- In coordination to the Branch Manager, provide oversight of daily task completion relating to new account opening, customer maintenance, and review related items.
- Provide expertise helping to identify and onboard customers with credit card needs and business services.
- Meets and exceeds individual production goals, setting the example to teammates to do the same.
- Identifying and meeting needs of current and potential customers and offering the proper products and services to fit their needs.
- Bring a positive, engaging attitude, acting as an example to fellow teammates each day.
- Engage customers with friendly and professional service that follows FAB&Ts mission statement.
- Participates in sales referral process ensuring customers' needs are met.
- Be very knowledgeable of bank products and services and ability to educate and demonstrate to customers.
- Serve as the product knowledge expert in the area of business services, credit cards, and referrals to Wealth Management for the purpose of business growth and team development. .
- Serve as a CSR on an occasional basis and for weekend rotation purposes.
- May be registered under the National Mortgage Licensing Services.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; frequently required to stand, walk; and occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; and regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; and color vision.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Understand and adhere to all compliance issues, attend training as required and related to this position, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, Privacy Act, US Patriot Act, and Security.
Experience
Required- Minimum of one year banking experience required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Sales experience for branch growth in all areas including but not limited to credit cards, merchant services, and investments preferred
Education
Required- High School or better
Licenses & Certifications
Preferred- NMLS Registration
