What are the responsibilities and job description for the LIFE CENTER CENTRAL - HR Hiring and Onboarding Specialist position at First Assembly of God Life Center?
The Hiring and Onboarding Specialist completes all tasks necessary for the recruitment and onboarding phases in the lifecycle of a Life Center and Life Christian Academy employee. This employee is supervised by the HR Managing Director but must collaborate routinely with the CHRO. This employee must balance the needs of the church and school with the needs of HR to ensure all recruitment and hiring is timely, efficient, and compliant with all applicable laws.
- Facilitates completion of and processes Requests To Hire and Job Requisitions.
- Submits requests to post job openings at all requested and approved locations and platforms.
- Receives and processes applications.
- Prepares applications for review and monitors review progress.
- Administer pre-employment skills tests when requested.
- Prepares and sends rejection letters and schedules interviews for candidates moving forward.
- Prepares offer letters.
- Uses onboarding checklist to ensure all requirements are met, including, but not limited to, proper I-9 completions, processing e-Verify request, pre-employment drug screen, and background checks.
- Assists new employees in establishing HRIS account and ensures all electronic on-boarding tasks are complete.
- Trains new employees in basic usage of HRIS, including clocking in where applicable.
- Ensures new hires are aware of all relevant manuals, handbooks, and policies.
- Ensures new hires have all necessary equipment, relevant electronic accounts and access, and appropriate work space.
- Prepares new employee personnel files and serves as steward of all employee personnel files.
- Collaborates with HR Managing Director to ensure cohesive on-boarding processes are followed.
- Completes assimilation process of new hires.
- Submits report to HR Managing Director.
- Other reasonable duties as required and assigned.
