Description

AQS is looking for skilled Automotive Mechanical Technician’s to maintain and repair vehicles for our customers at the end of the line rework for an auto manufacturer. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them according to newly developed repair information. They are well-versed in complex mechanical or electronical systems of vehicles and have excellent problem-solving abilities. They must be good communicators to provide advice to our customers and suppliers. We are hiring immediately in the Sparrows Point, MD area. Must be able to start work by January 21, 2025. This is a 1099 contract job.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Technology Principle’s

• Sensor and vehicle Actuators

• Diagnostic System ODIS Service

• Vehicle Electronics (ABS, Gearbox, EDL)

• Airbags and belt tensioners

• Can Bus Lin Bus Communication

• Inputs/Outputs

• Basic Electrical using volt meter

• Wire harness repair

• Reading Wire/ELSA Web

• Problem Identification

• Overview of Diagnostic Equipment (ODIS, KVS, GEIKO)

• How to communicate/actuate/read DTC’s from control modules using OTIS

• Accessing SIDIS looking at vehicle history/results

• Practical training on vehicles (hands on)

• Component Protection (SWAP)

• Diagnose and Repair Electrical issues on VW Vehicles

• Defect Analysis based on test reports

• Exchange and Repair of electrical components

Location: Sparrows Point, MD

Shift: Starts at 6 am to 6 pm Monday-Saturday

Pay: $28 per hour

Requirements

• Experience working on electric vehicles preferred

Experience working in automotive Electrical repair for 4-6 years

Highly observant and analytical

Detail oriented

Proficient with hand tools

Ability to understand and apply basic mathematical skills

Physically able to lift 35 pounds
